Upper Peninsula Association for Infant Mental Health
Supporting Relationships for Infants and Families
The Upper Peninsula Association of Infant Mental Health was first organized in 1993 by some of the pioneers in the field in Michigan, Mary K Peterson, Sally Hruska, Ruth Botbyl, Dianne Goodman, Cookie Aho, Lee Carlson, Fran Majestic and Jennifer Cihak. Over the years chapter goals have been to provide training, facilitate local study groups, promote awareness and create community for those interested relationship-based work with families of infants and toddlers.
We currently strive to provide for the training needs of our membership and communities across a large geographical area. Collaborations are a necessity and partnerships have developed with the Great Start Collaboratives, Upper Peninsula Early Childhood Conference, Early On, and the Upper Peninsula Childrens' Coalition.
