IMH Learning Series Trainings!  

The 2012 Infant Mental Health Learning Series is intended to address issues relevant to IMH professionals with a range of experience in the field. Sessions labeled “Series A” are focused on practitioners with 3 years or less of IMH experience (or for anyone needing a refresher). Sessions labeled “Series B” are focused on practitioners with more than 3 years of IMH experience, and assume that participants have previously attended basic training in the topic area. CEU’s are all pending but should be approved for 5.5 per training.

Upcoming IMH Learning Series Dates

March 12, 2012 - "Using Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills in IMH work:  A Tool to Improve Coping in Mothers with mental Illness & Their Babies", presented by JoAnn Heap. Registration will open Feburary 13, 2012. (Series B)                                                                       

April 9, 2012 - "Infant Mental Health Work with Families and Children When Substance Abuse is Suspected:  A Clinical and Personal Perspective", presented by Jesusa Arnett. Registration will open March 12. (Series A)                                                                           

May 14, 2012 - "Where is the Baby? The Challenges of Providing Parent-Infant Psychotherapy to Families with Complex Needs", presented by Sarah Miller. Registration will open April 9. (Series B)

***Titles, Series A or B, & speakers for the dates above are TBA. Notification will be sent once

    details are confirmed.

*** IMH practitioners outside of Detroit-Wayne County CMH will have a training fee.
