Training will provide information on the effects of substance abuse on families and children, how to assess if substance abuse is present and how to proceed with services. Strategies on how to determine readiness for change and barriers to change will also be identified. A personal perspective of growing up with addiction and the journey of addiction into recovery will be provided.
This is a Series A training and is targeted to IMH Therapists with 3 or less years in the infant mental health profession or for anyone needing a refresher.
