MI-AIMH offers a unique selection of products for parents and professionals working with infants, toddlers and families to promote infant mental health. Products include an audio CD and two learning tools to encourage healthy care and development in the early years. Publications include the Infant Mental Health Journal, The Infant Crier, numerous books, case studies and guidelines for best practice in the infant and family field. Of additional interest, MI-AIMH houses a Media Library with over 100 video’s and DVD’s for use/rent by MI-AIMH/WAIMH members and non-members.
Wheels
Two new developmental tools for parents and caregivers to learn about and promote social and emotional development in infancy, toddlerhood and the preschool years.
Colorful and user friendly, the social and emotional development wheels teach parents and caregivers about early social and emotional development, guide interaction that encourages social and emotional health in the early years, and promote nurturing relationships between parents or caregivers and very young children.

Audio CD
MI-AIMH Audio CDs present information about early brain development and its importance to health and growth across the life span. Easy to follow and listen to, they are appropriate for parents and professionals who want an introduction to cutting edge science.
Media Lending Library
The MI-AIMH/WAIMH Media Lending Library houses hundreds of educational videos and DVDs that promote understanding of early development and infant mental health. A valuable resource for MI-AIMH and WAIMH members, as well as non-members, the library offers a wide variety of topics including pregnancy, birth and early parenthood; development in the first years of life; attachment theory and implications for intervention; observation, assessment, and treatment techniques; infants and toddlers in foster care; trauma and loss; child care practices and environments; reflective practice and supervision, to name a few.
Media Lending Library Policies
Media may be checked out for THREE weeks. This will be especially helpful for those who are provide training for staff and practitioners. Please contact Deborah Kahraman as soon as you know which DVD/video/audio tape you would like to rent so she can reserve the material for you. A request is preferred one month in advance.
Mailing procedure
Fill out the attached order form, noting material(s) desired, the #?s, your shipping address, and a check to cover rental and shipping/handling costs. MI-AIMH accepts company checks, personal checks, or money orders - all must be made payable from a U.S. bank. Mail the order form and check, made payable to MI-AIMH to: MI-AIMH, Media Lending Library, 13101 Allen Road, Southgate, MI 48195. If you are requesting materials via fax, please be sure to include your billing name, address, and a copy of the completed purchase order with number. Your order will be shipped to you via U. S. mail. For orders inside the U.S., the mailer will include the DVD/video/audio tape(s) and a POSTAGE PAID return envelope. All you have to do is put the material(s) in the return envelope on or before the due date and return to the Post Office (inside the U.S.) where a clerk will validate insurance for return. For orders outside the U.S., you must take the materials to the Post Office and pay return and insurance postage as there are different postal guidelines. The rates on the order form have been adjusted.
Media Lending Library loan payment schedule
MI-AIMH, WAIMH and WAIMH affiliate members receive a reduced rate, one of the benefits of membership! Information regarding the costs are included on the rental information form on the next page. Please note that charges INCLUDE insurance in case the DVDs/video/audio tape(s) are lost in the mail.
In order to insure timely return of rentals, we have instituted late charges. A fee of $10.00 will be assessed for every week the material(s) are late. The order must be POSTMARKED three weeks from the day shipped. Bills and overdue charges MUST be paid before any other DVDs/video/audio tapes can be rented.
